Cash stolen in Pershore burglary

CASH was stolen during a distraction burglary in Upper Moor, Pershore, last Thursday.

Two men went to the property and told the resident they were from ‘the water board’ and needed to repair some pipes. It was later discovered the money was missing.

Police are reminding people there is no such thing as ‘the water board’ or ‘the gas board’ anymore.

They also said all callers should carry an official identity badge with their name and company details on, adding genuine callers would not be offended if residents refuse to answer the door.

Anyone with any information on the incident in Pershore on Thursday should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
