ST RICHARD’s Hospice will benefit from a string of A Cappella carol singing events in Worcestershire pubs.
Vale Harmony, The A Cappella Fellas, will be finishing four Christmas Carolling engagements when they sing at the Talbot pub in the Tything in Worcester on Tuesday night (December 20).
The venues include the Pickled Plum, The Angel Hotel and the White Horse Hotel in Pershore, collecting cash for St Richard’s Hospice, the chorus’s chosen charity for this coming year.
Terri Brown, who works at the Talbot, invited the A Cappella Fellas to sing in memory of her late father. The pub also makes its own donation to St Richard’s.
Vale Harmony led the singing earlier this month at the Christmas Carol and Memorial Service at the Vale Crematorium. Colin Pemberton, the chorus PRO, said: “It was a privilege to lead the singing at the service. There were some very emotional moments”.
Jodi Brandwood, community fund-raiser for St Richard’s Hospice, said: “We’re so grateful to Vale Harmony, The A Capella Fellas for making St Richard’s their chosen charity this year.
“With more than three quarters of our funding coming from kind supporters, we simply couldn’t be there for patients and their loved ones without our local hospice heroes.”
