A COFFEE morning held in support of this year’s Pershore Carnival raised £295 towards this years event.
Town Mayor Coun Tony Rowley held the event at Pershore Town Hall on February 6 to help boost funds for the carnival which will be held on Monday, May 25.
Coffee and homemade cakes were on offer during the event which saw local people turn out in force to raise the sum.
Organisers received a further boost on the day with a donation from Rooftop Housing Group of £1,500 towards funds for the event.
This weekend will also see a wedding fayre at Pershore Town Football Club with everything on offer for the big day.
Being held on Sunday (March 1), the free event runs from 11am to 3pm and offers lucky in love couples the chance to enter a fantastic competition to make their big day even more special.
Organisers are packing a limo full of balloons on the big day and visitors who guess how many have been squeezed in can win £200 to spend on their wedding.
Further fund-raising will take place next Saturday (March 7) with organisers holding a charity race night at Pershore Sports Club.
Doors open at 7pm with the first race at 7.30pm and funds raised on the night will go towards the carnival.
