AN EVESHAM estate agents will mark Children’s Hospice Week and raise cash for Acorns Children’s Hospice with a cake sale.

Employees at Leaders in Evesham will be holding a cake sale outside their office in Vine Street on Friday (May 27) between 10.30am and 4pm.

All of the proceeds will go to Together for Short Lives, which supports all 54 children’s hospices across the UK, including Acorns.

Together for Short Lives is Leaders’ charity partner for 2016 and the company is aiming to raise £50,000 for it over the course of the year.

Each of Leaders’ 113 branches are planning events designed to improve awareness of Children’s Hospice Week and raise much-needed funds.

The Evesham team opted to bake to show their support.

Children’s Hospice Week is the UK’s only awareness and fundraising week for children with life-shortening conditions and their families and the services – such as children’s hospices – that support them.

Camilla Griffiths, branch manager at Leaders in Evesham, says: “I am delighted we can once again support Together for Short Lives. We are extremely excited about dusting off our recipe books and preparing some delicious treats for the people of Evesham.

“We hope lots of people enjoy the cakes we will be selling on the day and that our efforts contribute to another successful week of fundraising.

“We are all inspired by the work of Acorns and are determined to help Leaders achieve its goal of raising £50,000 in 2016. Most importantly, we know every penny we raise ends up helping the people who need it most.”

Leaders first named Together for Short Lives as its Charity of the Year in 2015 and raised £45,000 for the organisation last year.
