Hereford and Worcester Fire Service were called to Crest Hill at about 3.14pm on Tuesday (December 15) where they found a silver Mercedes Benz lodged in a telegraph pole on the opposite side of the road.

The 80-year-old man, who was the only person in the car, was assessed at the scene by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service but was injury free and didn’t require any further treatment.

Stagecoach’s number 28 bus services from Evesham to Harvington was affected as a result of the crash as the bus couldn’t reach the village after police closed the road for a time.

Fire crews also checked the pole after the cabling became loose.
