A CAR enthusiast has spoken of his disappointment after a classic car he has owned for ten years was sold on without his knowledge.
Vincent Carroll noticed his Saab 96 V4 1972 car had been taken from an industrial site in Cheltenham, where it was waiting to undergo restoration.
The classic car was allegedly sold on eBay in April this year without his permission by someone in Evesham and Mr Carroll was also told by police the car might have been broken up into parts.
Appealing for any information about the whereabouts of his car, Mr Carroll said: “I can’t believe that someone had the audacity to take a relatively exclusive car with that intention.
“I had given permission for someone to restore it at a compound in Cheltenham, it is very disappointing and I am just not sure what happened.
“This is a car that has travelled through Spain and France, I have had it for more than ten years and there are very few about.
“It is a great shame and I hope someone has some information. It may still be in Evesham”.
Police officers from Gloucestershire Constabulary are currently investigating the matter.
