Can you help find Diago his 'furever' home

WHILE many celebrate Burns Night tonight, Dogs Trust Evesham will be busy swapping pooches for poetry in the hope of finding a shy Terrier his ‘furever’ home.

Diago, a four-year-old pup, has been at the Wickhamford rehoming centre since November 2016 and whilst he is affectionate once he gets to know people, he can be worried by the world and this can often get the better of him.

Staff feel this may be holding him back in finding his forever home, so have written a poetic plea in the hope of helping him get the ‘furrytail’ ending he deserves.

Diago will be looking for a home without any other pets and will need an adult only environment.

The centre’s training and behaviour team will be available to assist before, during and after his adoption to help him adjust into his new surroundings.

Claire Buglar, training and behaviour advisor at Dogs Trust Evesham, said: “Diago is a lovely lad who really deserves to find happiness in a new home. He’s been with us for some time and we’ve been helping to prepare him for the day he finally finds his forever home.

“He would be best suited to a quiet environment with not much going on whilst he finds his feet and readjusts back to home life. Once he gets to know you, he’s an affectionate lad who quite likes a fuss.”
