A LEADING county campaign group bidding to keep Britain in the European Union will be among those heading to the capital for the ‘People’s March’.
Members of Worcestershire for Europe are travelling by coach on Saturday (October 20) to air their views on the Brexit and continue the calls for a ‘People’s Vote’ on the final deal.
Group chair Stuart Thompson said: “Opinion is still divided, but people see the impasse the government is facing and are starting to accept it is we the people, who can take control and move the country forward.
Members of Worcestershire for Europe joined 12,000 anti-Brexit protesters at a march and rally outside the recent Conservative Party conference.
“More and more Conservative MPs are seeing a People’s Vote as the way out of a catastrophic no deal Brexit. We hope our presence gave them the courage to act in the best interests of their country and not just their party.
“A People’s Vote could put an end to a hugely damaging Brexit and let us all concentrate on improving and celebrating what we already have in this great country. Both remain and leave voters are telling us they want a say on the Brexit deal.
“Members of the Government, who appear hell-bent on delivering ‘the will of the people’ must confirm what that will is,” Stuart added.
