A BUSY Evesham road could partially re-open this week after county transport chiefs confirmed structural engineers would inspect the area.
Worcester Road has been closed since December 29 between the Chadbury roundabout and the retail parks because after a large crack appeared in the road surface.
It’s the latest issue to blight the stretch of road which was also closed in 2013 after a section of the carriageway was found to have sunk below the rest of the road.
A county council spokesperson said: “The road will be inspected by a specialist structural engineer in the next few days and we’ll make an assessment on whether the road can be opened up under limited access.”
