Burglar assaulted homeowner before stealing valuable jewellery

A BURGLAR broke into a property in Bredon and assaulted the homeowner before stealing three valuable rings.

The man is believed to have entered the house in Queensmead through an unlocked back door at about 3pm yesterday (Monday).

He assaulted the homeowner and then stole three rings; a platinum ring with a one carat emerald cut diamond surrounded by emerald and baguette cut diamonds; a platinum eternity ring with diamonds around the outside; and a 5-6mm platinum wedding band.

The burglar has been described as white with sun-tanned skin and in his early 20s. He is believed to be about 5ft 9ins tall, of athletic build, was clean shaven and had very short black hair.




He was wearing a plain black t-shirt and plain blue stonewashed denim jeans, with a 0.5cm wide gold-coloured chain, and spoke with an Irish accent.

Officers from West Mercia Police would like to speak to anyone who might have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area, or has information that would help with the investigation.


Anyone with information is urged to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 402S of Monday, April 10.
