A BROADWAY businesswoman cleaned up the competition on her way to scooping the ‘Business Entrepreneur of the Year’ award at a glitzy ceremony.
Emma Heathcote-James, founder of Little Soap Company, was announced as the winner at the awards, which were held at The Ricoh Arena in Coventry last Thursday (October 20).
She beat two entrepreneurs from the cosmetic and financial sectors and was recognised for the innovation and success of her business.
Since the Little Soap Company was founded in 2008, Emma has built it up from a small-scale soap-making hobby to a successful business selling a range of organic and natural products that are stocked in major supermarkets across the UK, as well as independent boutiques and farm shops.
Emma said: “I am over the moon to have won the Business Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
“Since founding Little Soap Company in 2008, I have worked tirelessly, and have gone from cold days manning stalls at farmers’ markets, to securing and launching my products in 268 Waitrose stores as well as other national supermarkets – all to ensure organic, natural soap is available to everyone.
“I am absolutely thrilled to have my work recognised in this way.”
