Blossom trail to pedal up the funds

CYCLISTS are being urged to use pedal power to raise money.

The annual Blossom Trail Bikeaway takes place on Sunday from Hampton Ferry in aid of for local charities including the Pershore Unit of St John Ambulance and the Evesham Vale Community First Responders.

Organised by the newly-formed Bikeaway Ventures group, registration for the popular ride opens 8.45 and continues until 11am with the official start of the ride at 9.30am.

Bikeaway Ventures chairman, Tony Haines said: “In 2017 we had record numbers of cyclists taking part in the Blossom Trail Bikeaway – it is certainly an excellent opportunity for people of all ages and capabilities to leave the car at home and enjoy some breath-taking scenery cycling around the famous Blossom Trail.




“You can choose from one of three routes of 11, 27 and 58 miles – we look forward to welcoming you”

“Although the recent cold weather is likely to have slowed the blossom down this year we are still hoping for great weather and there is always a wonderful atmosphere.


“So get on your bike, spend the day in the great outdoors, enjoy the Vale of Evesham at its best and raise money for a very worthwhile charity at the same time.”
