A POPULAR community shop is set to celebrate its first birthday in style with the help of a local band.
Bretforton Community Shop is hoping village residents will join them tomorrow (Saturday) for a day of celebrations with the Bretforton Silver Band set to play from 9.30am.
Villagers will be able to tuck into some mince pies and enjoy mulled wine as well as a range of birthday cakes baked especially for the special occasion by local residents.
Chris Buckham, Chairman of the Shop’s Management Committee said: “It’s hard to believe that in just a year our shop is playing such a key role at the heart of village life.
“The shop is owned by the community and the committee and our volunteers are constantly striving to make sure we deliver the kind of shop and hub that the village wants.”
