AN EVENING of the best brass band music will be on offer as the ‘Wychavon Sketches’ is played for the first time.

Langley Band will take to the stage on Sunday (November 28) from 7.30pm at The Henrician on Victoria Avenue.

Together with Avonbank Brass Band, the evening will be the first public performance of the piece commissioned by the Wychavon Festival of Brass to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

Composed by local lad Dan Price, the piece is an evocation of rural Worcestershire, its history, activities and places.
