SOME of the best Evesham-based businesses attended a network event recently where national recognition was given to local businesses including Evesham Dog Grooming Academy.
The business, which offers a pet grooming service and teaches new entrants in to the profession, walked away with three awards including Highly Commended in the UK in their category as well as the winner of the award for the most reviews over
the past year on The Best of Evesham website.
Start up business BC Inflatables which saw a gap in the market locally for soft play hire as well as bouncy castle hire also received a highly commended for gathering many new reviews in the recent campaign which encourages local shoppers to
give feedback on local businesses.
Carole Gowers owner of Evesham Dog Grooming Academy and Becky from Dog Grooming Salon Beautiful Dogs said “We work hard at providing a great service for our customers and their pets and to see the reviews online is heart-warming and lets us
know that our efforts are appreciated, which we knew anyway but the written feedback reinforces it.”
Alan Jones from The Best of Evesham said he was delighted to be able to recognise the local businesses that go that extra mile in customer service.
“These awards mean a lot to our small businesses which are the backbone of the economy in the UK and so often the hard work and long hours go unrecognised.”he said.
“We are already looking at remodelling these awards over the next year to encompass even more elements of what makes good businesses great.”
During the event a raffle was held and entry fees were donated which enabled a donation to be made of £170 to South Worcestershire Lifeguards who are desperately seeking funds after their rescue boats engines worth around £15,000 were stolen and has made two boats currently unusable.
The event was hosted by The Bell Inn at Cropthorne, visit www.thebestofevesham.co.uk for more information on the Best of Evesham.
