GREEN-FINGERED litter group volunteers are celebrating after two successful event in Evesham last weekend.
Members of Evesham’s Anti-Litter Group were among those in attendance at the Green Fayre on Saturday (October 26) at the town hall in Market Place.
Volunteers were on hand to speak about the group’s activities including the Adopt A Street scheme.
According to the group, 20 per cent of the district has now committed to the scheme which allows local residents to take pride in their local area.
The following day saw a litter pick in Fairwater Close after volunteers joined members of Evesham’s police for an effort to clean up the area.
Bruce Taylor from Evesham Anti-Litter Group said: “It was an amazing turnout. The amount of rubbish removed by approximately 20 people in one and a half hours is quite something to see.
“Thanks to everyone who said hello and took part,” he added.
