AN AWARD-WINNING Evesham cafe will close its doors next weekend for the final time after 15 years in the heart of the town.
Word of Mouth cafe will close next Saturday, March 10 after their landlords confirmed they were selling the building and therefore the much-loved cafe would not have its lease renewed.
Since it opened in 2003, the cafe has proved to be a magnet for local people and visitors with a range of home-cooked delights including pastries and the ever-popular Malteser topped brownies.
The cafe has been honoured with a number of national awards and has been regularly recognised by review site Trip Advisor for the experience it offers customers.
In a post on Facebook, staff members confirmed the news with a ‘heavy heart’.
“For 15 years your love, loyalty and support has helped us not only be a successful café but to feel part of a real community.
“Words cannot convey how we are feeling. It is difficult to express our gratitude on a Facebook post but please know that we will finish feeling grateful for our time here, for all the wonderful people we have worked with over the years and the kindness and friendship we have felt.
“With many thanks and big love from Louise, Graham, Charlotte, Amy, Rhianne, Emma and Eric.”
