A VISIT by Peter Rabbit to The Valley retail centre over the Easter weekend proved a big hit with families and visitors.
The giant version of the beloved mischievous bunny of Beatrix Potter fame ‘hoppily’ mingled with the crowds during several meet-and-greet sessions on Saturday, April 19.
The appearance of the mischievous and adventurous character is credited with an uptick in trading over the Easter period, marked by an eight per cent increase in footfall compared to the previous year.
Phil Maclean, retail director at The Valley Evesham, said: “We are thrilled with the fantastic turnout and the positive impact of the Peter Rabbit Experience.
“It’s heartening to see families enjoying their time here and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere. Our team is dedicated to creating memorable experiences, and this Easter’s success is a testament to their hard work.”
Leisure operators reported experiencing the most substantial growth, with a remarkable 53 per cent increase in spend. Retail operations across the scheme also had positive results, seeing significant rise in sales throughout the Easter period.
