PEOPLE thinking about standing in May’s district council elections or town council polls in Evesham and Pershore can go along to special seminars to find out more on how to go about it, writes Eve Watson.
The election team will offer candidates advice and explain the election process of standing as a councillor in preparation for polling day on May 2.
Elaine Dicks, Wychavon’s electoral services manager, said: “These seminars are a great way of preparing for the elections in May, both in building confidence and knowledge of the process.
“The potential candidates will have the chance to ask any questions and gain invaluable advice in return.”
The seminars will be held at the Civic Centre in Pershore on Tuesday (February 26) 6.15pm for district council elections and at the same time on February 28 for town and parish council elections.
