Artwork worth £20,000 stolen in Broadway raid

ARTWORK worth more than £20,000 has been stolen following a burglary at a gallery in Broadway.

The raid took place at the Priory Gallery on the High Street shortly after 4am on Sunday (March 8).

Offenders forced entry to the gallery before stealing several bronze sculptures, a painting and other items, in total worth more than £20,000.

Police believe two offenders took part in the raid, both wearing dark clothing and of medium height and build.




A dark coloured vehicle was seen making off from the gallery and heading towards Cheltenham.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area at the time is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 121S of Sunday 8 March or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org
