TWO men have been arrested in Evesham on suspicion of possession of a blade and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Police were called to Coronation Street just after 1pm this afternoon (Thursday, March 28) following reports of an altercation between a group of people.
During the incident a woman suffered a slash wound believed to have been caused by a knife.
The men arrested were aged 43 and 40.
Superintendent Gareth Morgan said: “There will be an increase in police presence in the area while we piece together what has happened.
“I’d like to thank the public for their patience and their co-operation this afternoon but would also like reassure the public that this is an isolated incident where the parties are believed to have been known to each other.”
