CARING residents took to the tennis courts at Pershore Tennis Centre to raise cash for the Worcestershire Breast Unit campaign.
More than 40 women dressed in pink and raised more than £700 in aid of the unit which delivers much-needed support and help to women suffering breast cancer.
Jane Warner, Tournament Director at the club, hosted the fund-raiser for the campaign for the second year in a row and was delighted with the amount of women involved.
Among those making a racket for the cause was Fiona Charny, chair of Worcestershire Breast Unit campaign.
Sarah McCormick, Chair of Pershore Tennis Centre, said: “It was a wonderful day – despite a power cut and torrential rain – and the ladies enjoyed tennis and lunch with a fantastic raffle and a visit from Fiona.
“The winners of our second annual Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign tournament were Pat Warren and Sarah Griffiths from Stourbridge Tennis Club. Well done ladies!”
