THE LONG-SERVING leader of Badsey Beavers was honoured for more than 30 years of service with the annual Tony Jerram Award.

Anne Poulter was handed the award which is given each year in memory of the late Tony Jerram, the first chairman of the Badsey Society and is awarded to somebody who the members feel has contributed to the good of the local community.

Chairman Maureen Spinks told the meeting: “Anne is a natural leader and is totally dedicated to what she does. She brings enthusiasm, fun and is a very caring person. The children think she is fantastic and full of adventure.”

“She has the ability to relate to all ages and in her 37 years of scouting has brought enormous benefit to so many lives and inspired so many people.”




Members also heard how Anne supported events in Wickhamford too as well as being a member of St James’ Church in Badsey.
