ANITA Day has been re-appointed as a non-executive director of the board at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
Anita joined the trust in August 2018 and her term on the board has now been extended for a further four years.
A chartered accountant by background, she is a highly experienced executive leader and business coach with board-level experience spanning the private, public and voluntary sectors.
She was brought up and went to school in Worcestershire, and her parents were both cared for at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
Her family connections to the NHS include her younger daughter, who is a junior doctor in Derby.
She said: “I am delighted and honoured to be given the opportunity to continue to support the trust’s efforts to put patients first, and to carry on the work of making sure our hospitals are great places in which to work and be cared for.”
Anita Day second term of office will run until July 31, 2024 and she will be entitled to a remuneration of £11,500 per year.
She is also a non-executive director at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
