FAMILIES in Evesham get another opportunity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day with a 1940s garden party in the historic grounds of the Almonry museum.
On Saturday, May 24, from 10am to 4pm, staff are hosting a free event where guests are encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoy the stunning gardens whilst listening to the sounds of the 1940s.
Historic vehicles from Ashdown Camp will also be on display to admire.
Alex Bear, learning and education officer, said: “There will be lots of things to see and do, including a flag making craft activity, learning about life in Evesham during the war and the chance to dress up like a Second World War soldier.”
