AN EVESHAM dog shelter is urging residents to consider adopting one of their older four-legged friends to provide them some much needed love this Valentine’s Day.
10-year-old bulldog, Ella, from Evesham Dogs Trust is in need of a family ready to shower her with love and attention.
The shelter’s assistant manger, Shane Green, says Bella is a sweet, affectionate lady who loves a fuss and despite her age she really enjoys walks.
Bella is searching for a retirement retreat and could potentially live with children around secondary school age.
The dog needs to be the sole pet in the home and although she can be walked with other dogs, she doesn’t like it if they come too close.
She also has some pre-existing medical conditions so is looking for a family willing to take that on.
Shane Green at Dogs Trust Evesham, said: “We all know that February 14th is a day to shower those we love with affection, which is just perfect for Bella as she LOVES attention.
“In fact, she will soon tell you if she’s not getting enough.
“But provide her with affection – and food – and you’ll be rewarded with Bella’s heart.
“As an older lady, Bella does have some health issues, but our team can work with anyone interested in adopting Bella to make sure they get all the information and support they need.”
