PERSHORE Abbey was given an early Christmas present with the gift of hand-made candles from a town business.
Rev Claire Lording met with Gary Steen from Pershore Candles to receive the gift for the festive season.
Pershore Candles was born after Gary diversified during lockdown. Prior to the pandemic, Gary was an upholsterer and changed his trade when Covid hit.
With a passion for candle-making passed on from his late grandmother, Gary now manufactures handmade candles and melts from natural, non-toxic soy wax. The items are hand-poured and cured for two weeks to allow the fragrances to fully develop within the wax.
“We are so pleased to receive these beautiful candles form Gary, and look forward to using them,” Rev Lording said.
“Supporting local business is really important to us and we wish Gary every success in his new venture.”
