A46 now fully reopen after two car crash in which one overturned

THE A46 near Evesham has now fully reopened after two cars crashed resulting in one overturning.

The crash happened by the Hinton-on-the-Green crossroads at about 12.30pm this afternoon and emergency services have now cleared the road.

The crash involved a red Ford Focus and a black Hyundai saloon car.

An elderly couple were trapped as a result of the crash and had to be freed by fire crews from the Ford Focus.




Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service sent three engines, two from Evesham and one from Broadway, to the scene.

A woman has been taken to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch for further treatment and her injuries are not thought to be serious, a West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson said.


A man was also treated at the scene after complaining of knee pain, but he did not require hospital treatment.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 387s of Friday, November 3.
