A time for caring for family and friends

Evesham Editorial 25th Dec, 2016   0

A CHRISTMAS message from Coun Frances Smith, Chairman of Wychavon District Council

I WOULD like to wish all the residents of Wychavon a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year and I hope that 2017 brings good health and stability to everyone.

It has been a privilege and an honour to be Chairman of Wychavon District Council this year and I would like to thank all those organisations who have invited me to their events and made me so welcome.

A thank you must also go to the staff at Wychavon for all they do to provide good services for our residents.

As in previous years, the district has enjoyed many festivals and events, providing communities with the opportunity to enjoy their localities and the many activities and share them with visitors. To all those people who organise these activities, many thanks for all you do for making all the events such a success.

2016 has been an interesting year, with a new Prime Minister and the EU vote providing lots of changes for our country, but as a nation we continue to carry on with our lives and we at Wychavon will continue to do our very best to provide our residents with good service.

Thank you to all those who take care of our health, keep us safe and provide essential services all year round, but particularly all those who have to work over the Christmas period.

Christmas is a time for caring, about family, neighbours and friends and lending a hand to others in need.
