ORGANISERS of the Pershore Plum Festival are looking to fill a plum role with a difference.
There’s Cluedo’s Professor Plum, author Plum Sykes and Radio 1 presenter Ali Plumb but the Pershore Plum Festival is looking for a person, place or thing called Plum to be the fruity Plummy McPlumface of British plums.
In return, they’ll receive a host of plumptious plum goodies, star on the website and be treated like a VIP on one of the Festival days.
A packed calendar of activities attracts scores of thousands of visitors to the region especially for the Bank Holiday festival weekend with the finale featuring three days of food, entertainment and plum fun this weekend.
Organiser Angela Taylor said: “We’re looking for a face for the plum festival – it could be a cat, a child or a cow. We’re open to suggestions as long as they’re called Plum”.
Anyone interested is asked to visit @PershorePlumFestival on Twitter and leave their details using the hastag #PlummyMcPlumface .
