YOUNG recruits were on the menu at The Evesham Hotel to celebrate National Burger Day.

Staff at the historic venue invited local youngsters Lily Myler and Jenny Welch to roll up their sleeves and hand make the perfect burger for the annual day last Thursday (August 27).

Supported and guided by Head Chef Paul Napper and General Manager David Field, the hotel’s special guests got to grips with their meaty masterpieces and very much enjoyed the experience.

“The Evesham Hotel was delighted to welcome both Lily and Jenny into our kitchens, where it was evident they both loved learning about cooking – especially as they got to try the finished result,” David said.

“We also taught the girls about the importance of using quality and locally sourced produce for our menu, which in the case of our burgers is all sourced from Ellenden Farm. They are certainly Sous Chef’s in the making!”

The Evesham Hotel joined hundreds of restaurants across the UK to celebrate National Burger Day, where all pledged a discount of 20 per cent off their burgers throughout the day.

The Evesham Hotel beef burger is a new addition to the hotel’s all-day menu and is served with bacon, cheese, salad and French fries.

National Burger Day attracts thousands of burger fans and participating restaurants from across the UK to celebrate one of the worlds most widely loved foods.
