A DOG-FRIENDLY shopping destination in Evesham set tongues and tails wagging last Sunday (December 7) week with the annual Christmas parade.

More than 600 people attended the 8th annual event at The Valley retail park with their four-legged friends donned in suitably festive attire.

From Santa hats to sparkling tinsel, the shopping area was alive with joyful barks and colourful costumes.

There were prizes for the best dressed entries and this year’s winners were a group inspired by the Polar Express film, complete with a homemade train.

Organiser and retail director Phil Maclean, said: “It was a brilliant celebration of dogs and my favourite event of the year.

“The effort the participants went to with their outfits was incredible, it made for a wonderful festive morning.”

A toy brick giant Woolly Mammoth made of 224,687 pieces is currently the star of an Ice Age Trail which also features six colourful penguins.

The retail destination at Twyford attracts 1.5million visitors a year and operates a dog agility course during the summer.
