ILLEGAL vapes and tobacco worth around £25,000 have been seized in Evesham after a store was raided by police.
West Mercia Police’s safer neighbourhood officers from Evesham joined Worcestershire Trading Standards to target a store on Port Street on the morning of April 24.
After the shop was searched, a very large quantity of counterfeit cigarettes, illegal tobacco and vapes were seized.
The raid was carried out in response to concerns raised by members of the public regarding the sale of these items to underage persons.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “We will continue to listen to these concerns and action where appropriate.”
