A £10,000 REWARD has been offered by the victims of a vicious armed robbery which took place on Broadway Road near the A46.

On Sunday, December 21, a 50-year-old man and a 42-year-old man pulled off the A46 in separate vehicles when they were approached by a man with a baseball bat.

They managed to drive away but later saw three or four men run across a nearby roundabout into Broadway Road.

The offenders, three men dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered, confronted one of the vehicles and smashed the windscreen, front passenger window and rear windscreen with baseball bats. They ran off in an unknown direction.

The 42-year-old sustained minor injuries leading to the owners of AP Meats Limited offering the cash reward for any information which leads to a successful conviction of their attackers.

Andy Pattison, one of the owners of AP Meats, said: “The offer of a reward will hopefully bring to justice the perpetrators of this crime.

“I would not like anybody else to have to go through the stress, fear and anxiety that me, my family, friends and work colleagues have had to suffer.”

Police appealed for information at the time of the offence and enquiries are ongoing.

Anyone with further information can contact officers on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
