ENTRIES for the much anticipated Run Stuff Evesham Vale 10k have been boosted by a team from Evesham’s Beginners Running Club (EBRC).

Krys Cave, the driving force behind EBRC has encouraged a group of new runners to take up the challenge with the majority of the team taking part in their first 10k race.

In its eighth year the race is a well established event in the Vale calendar bringing more than 600 runners into Evesham, with this year’s profits going to the Evesham Vale Cardiac Rehab which provides facilities for those who have undergone heart

surgery.

The EBRC will join the Run Stuff 10k team in the race which is a fast chip timed course around the town and riverside, with a popular children’s fun run in the meadow after the 10k race.

The group who are based at the new Health Hub in the town centre met at Run Stuff to place their entries and to find out how the running specialist shop can help them reach the starting line through support and advice offered to runners of all abilities.

The EBRC has helped over 80 people start running and many have gone on to take part in 5k, 10k, half and full marathons raising money for local and national charities.

Run Stuff owner Louise Bugg, said: “The Run Stuff Evesham Vale 10k is our biggest sponsored event where we have a team for friends, customers and family who all run the race wearing Run Stuff branded t-shirts.

“At the end of the race we all gather on Crown Meadow to enjoy some welcome hydration and a massage, it’s great fun to be part of a team for the day and we are looking forward to the group from the Beginners Running Club joining us this year.”
