What’s Happening In Evesham in September 2023?

Evesham Editorial 31st Aug, 2023   0

Summer may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t anything to look forward to over the next few months. In Evesham, dozens of events are happening in September alone – including an appearance from London’s famous ABBA tribute show and a variety of exciting comedy shows.

Evesham Events in September 2023

1. Mania – The ABBA Tribute Show

Coming from London’s West End, Mania is the biggest ABBA tribute show to take the stage. In 2002, the show played for 18 weeks at the Strand Theatre in London, bringing together ABBA superfans and general music lovers alike. Now, the show is on tour, and heading to Evesham on September 23. The show will play at the Regal Cinema, with doors opening at 7 pm and the show starting at 8 pm.

2. Don’t Stop Believin’ – Live Event

It doesn’t stop with ABBA, though. September will be full of live music events in Evesham, with the Don’t Stop Believin’ live event rolling into town on September 30. And don’t be fooled: this isn’t a show just for Journey fans. The live event will showcase songs from various musicians, including Bryan Adams, Blondie, Kate Bush, Bon Jovi, and Cher. The show will also play at the Regal Cinema, starting at 8 pm.

3. Wrong Jovi

Speaking of Bon Jovi, one of the best Bon Jovi tribute bands, Wrong Jovi, is coming to Evesham. Playing at The Valkyrie music venue on September 16, the event will begin at 10 pm.

4. The Fleece Comedy Night

If you’re looking for less music and more comedy, The Fleece Comedy Night is your event. The event will feature a range of comedians, including Sam Harland as host, along with Tony

Cowards and Dom Hatton-Woods, who has been widely considered a rising star in the UK’s comedy scene. The event will take place on September 17 at The Fleece Inn Barn.

5. At-Home Events

Of course, if comedy and tribute bands aren’t your thing, you can still do plenty of things at home in September. For one thing, the Premier League is back, as is the Southern League, which will see Evesham United Football Club compete. If you want to watch a game in September, Evesham will play Wimborne Town on September 30 at the home stadium on Cheltenham Road. There are also things like live bingo, which will make you feel like you’re out on the town while in the comfort of your own home. With live bingo games, real presenters dictate the game, and events play every day from 12 to 10 pm.

For some people, the end of summer can be daunting as familiar routines creep back into our lives. But, the good thing to remember is that the fun doesn’t stop just because September has rolled back around, and this is clear with the many events happening in Evesham in September alone this year. Whether you enjoy staying in or heading out, there are plenty of things to do, watch, and play.
