IN CELEBRATION of the RAF’s centenary year comes Spitfire, a landmark documentary which shines a light on the plane and the people who helped win the Battle of Britain and ultimately the Second World War.
One of the producers of Spitfire will be attending the opening night of the documentary at The Regal in Evesham on Tuesday, July 17.
Steve Milne, founder of the British Film Company, will be taking part in an exclusive question and answer session for Regal customers after the film.
The Regal has also been allowed to add two encore screenings of the film on Wednesday, July 18 and Thursday, July 19 which both include the footage from the London premiere and a Q&A with special guests, hosted by television presenter Carol Vorderman.
The Regal’s Ian Wiper, said; “This is a very special film for us. Spitfire is an incredibly moving and inspiring story about an international icon and we are honoured that one of the film’s producers will be joining us for our premiere of the film.
“I hope people will join us in celebrating the RAF’s centenary year and remembering the mighty men and women that helped win the Second World War.”
The Regal team will also be fund-raising for the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA), the leading membership organisation and charity providing welfare support for serving and ex-serving RAF personnel and their families, at each of the screenings which all begin at 7.30pm.
