Today we take a trip to The Regal in Port Street.
FROM the moment you step into the Regal it is like stepping back in time to an age when going to the cinema was a very special occasion
The Regal is certainly a special place and you feel instantly at home and in comfort with the candle light and big soft comfy chairs.
Whatever the occasion, the Regal provides a perfect venue, whether it’s a romantic date with a glass of wine and a cheese board or a family Sunday afternoon out with soft drinks and specialty crisps, The Regal caters for everyone
We went to see a Take That concert beamed live from the O2 in London and the surround sound and HD showing made this a fabulous event
We were escorted upstairs to the circle and the Royal box, which was a lovely comfy seat with cushions and candles.
It was a little bit up from the seats in front and so when people stand it can make it a little hard to see the film and event, but you can just get up and dance as we did. If you cant beat them join them!
The finale and encore were fabulous and everyone in the cinema was up on their feet.
The venue contains a box office and two bars, however the unique part about this cinema compared to all other cinemas in the dining experience.
You can pre-book a range of delicious and prepared on site meals to be delivered to your table during the film.
I have sat down in the stalls several times and the view is spectacular too, and close to the bar!
However the Regal have thought of everything, as you haven’t even got to leave your comfy seat. Just simply text the number of it and you will have your drink or food brought to you.
The traditional style of this beautiful cinema is not lost and even before the film commences a cinema representative appears at the front to thank you all for coming and supporting the Regal.
So whether it’s to watch the Wimbledon men’s final or the latest Jurassic Park film, the Regal is a place for all with that little bit of added luxury to make your trip memorable.
The Regal, a venue which truly lives up to it’s name!
