THE LEGENDARY Maastricht concerts from the ‘King of Waltz’ Andre Rieu will be beamed live into Pershore’s Number 8 Community Arts Centre this summer.
Rieu’s annual celebration of music is set against the stunning medieval backdrop of the town square in his hometown and is one of the most eagerly anticipated cinema events of the year.
With special guests, surprises, as well as some renowned sopranos and tenors, Rieu will this year celebrate the true music of a heart which beats in three quarter time – the waltz.
A highlight of the year for so many, Rieu’s cinema concerts are unique with the warmth and energy being beamed direct to audiences. Hosted by Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins, the concert will also take audiences behind the scenes, as well as an exclusive stage-side interview with the man himself.
The concerts will be broadcast to the Number 8 on Saturday, July 27 and 7pm and Sunday, July 28 at 3pm. An encore will also be screen on Friday, August 23 at 7pm
