THE LEGENDARY Maastricht concerts from the ‘King of Waltz’ Andre Rieu will be beamed live into Pershore’s Number 8 Community Arts Centre this summer.
Rieu’s annual celebration of music is set against the stunning medieval backdrop of the town square in his hometown and is one of the most eagerly anticipated cinema events of the year.
For 2018 the concert will be a celebration of love as the renowned violinist pays tribute to his love for music, his love for both of his families; his wife and children and of course for his Johann Strauss Orchestra, who he has performed with for more than 30 years.
For this very special concert, Rieu will be offering a lucky winner the ultimate musical love dedication while all cinema-goers will be invited to dedicate one of his waltzes to their loved ones.
A sight to behold the Maastricht concerts see fans flock annually from all corners of the world to watch Rieu perform with his 60-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra, as well as sopranos, tenors, and some very special guests.
This annual celebration of music is also experienced every year by hundreds of thousands of fans across the world from the comfort of their local cinema, who are also treated to some very special behind the scenes extras.
The concerts will be broadcast to the Number 8 on Saturday, July 28 and 7pm and Sunday, July 29 at 3pm. An encore will also be screen on Friday, August 24 at 7pm
