THERE will be plenty of blood and thunder when a popular Evesham group perform their latest production.
Evesham Operatic and Dramatic Society will be bringing the story of Sweeney Todd to the Evesham Arts Centre between Tuesday, September 16 and Saturday, September 20 at 7.30pm.
The musical, which was first presented in London and written by Stephen Sondheim, revolves around Todd – illegally transported to Australia by a corrupt judge – who returns to seek revenge and find his daughter.
And after Wednesday’s peformance (September 17) there will be a chance for the audience to stay for a few minutes longer and take part in a ‘Meet the Cast’, question and answers session.
Guests can get answers to anything they have ever wanted to know about putting on a major musical or being in a show, joining in or how the cast manage to get the costumes clean after so much blood the night before!
Tickets cost £14 (£12 for concessions) and are available by visiting www.eveshamartscentre.co.uk or by calling 01386 446944.
