Latest offering should be a hoot

AUDIENCES are invited to swoop down to Pershore Number 8 in August to meet Hoot Owl, a crafty bird with a ‘talon’ to amuse.

Written, composed and performed by the new operators of The Playhouse in Stratford, Ellis Creez and Rebecca Hallworth, Hoot Owl Master of Disguise is based on the popular Laugh Out Loud Book Award-nominated picture title by Sean Taylor and Jean Jullien.

The show tells the ‘tongue-in-beak’ story of Hoot Owl who plans to use his cunning disguises to gobble up the tiny animals of the night. Trouble is, they keep escaping!

Is Hoot Owl as wise as he thinks he is? Will he get to join the esteemed Owl Parliament? And, more to the point, will he ever succeed in catching himself some dinner?

Hoots, hilarity, puppets, animation, ridiculousness and rapid costume changes abound in this riotous new show from Proon Productions, an entertainment and theatre company whose mischievous style of pantomime humour, theatrical interaction, banter and slapstick has delighted audiences both at home and abroad and even at sea.

Hoot Owl Master of Disguise flies in to the Pershore Number 8 at 2.30pm on August 29.

Tickets are £9 for adults and £7 for under 16’s which all include an 85p booking fee if bought online.
