Jenni bringing her take on history

Rob George 15th Feb, 2018   0

THE HISTORY of Britain as you’ve never heard it before will be celebrated at Pershore’s Number 8 Community Arts Centre in April.

Journalist and broadcaster Jenni Murray will visit the venue to explore the lives and celebrate the achievements of twenty one women whose lives enthral, intrigue and inspire.

Britain has been defined by its conflicts, its conquests, its men and its monarchs. It’s high time it was defined by its women!

Jenni will shed light upon social, political, religious and cultural aspects of British history, reinvigorating the stories behind the names we all know and revealing the fascinating tales behind those less familiar.

Jenni Murray has presented BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour since 1987, is a regular contributor to various newspapers and magazines and is the author of several books.

The two hour show starts at 7.30pm on Saturday, April 28 and tickets are £18 with an 85p booking fee if bought online.

Call the centre’s Box Office on 01386 555488 or visit www.number8.org for more.
