Gerry crossing the Mersey to The Regal

SIXTIES sensations Gerry and the Pacemakers will be taking a Ferry Across the Mersey and journeying to Evesham for a show at The Regal.

A unique musical journey through the life and times of one of our greatest 60’s icons, Gerry Marsden, will be on offer at the historic Vale venue on Friday, September 11

The show offers guests the chance to take a trip down memory lane and relive the swinging sixties, combining performances of all the great songs from Gerry’s repertoire, including hits such as I Like It, How Do you Do It? and You’ll Never Walk Alone, interspersed with stories and anecdotes from his days on the road.

The excellent Rachel Sinnetta will also be performing some of the great hits from the female singers of the 60s so it’s set to be an evening of nostalgia!

Gerry and the Pacemakers topped the UK and US charts for much of the sixties, working the same Liverpool/Hamburg circuit as the Beatles, who were managed by the same record company.

After various number one hits, the group disbanded in 1966, but was reformed by Gerry in 1974. They have since continued to tour in the UK and worldwide and now, after a sell-out show last year, they are returning to Evesham!

Gerry said; “Great gig, loved it last time, great audience! I’m looking forward to seeing all of my friends in Evesham again!”

Laurence Wiper, The Regal’s Live Events Manager, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming Gerry back onto our stage at The Regal this September.

“His last performance was great fun and he really connects with the audience so everyone had a brilliant night.”

Tickets for the show are £20 and are available online at www.theregal.ac or by calling the box office on 01386 421007.
