PIONEERING folk band Faustus will stop off in the Vale as part of their UK tour.
Having recently released their new EP, Slaves, the folk trio will perform at The Fleece Inn, Bretforton tomorrow (Friday), hot on the heels of their acclaimed album ‘Death and Other Animals’.
The groundbreaking album, which was produced by Rupert Christie, Faustus and Westpark Music, has just received the German Critics Award in the folk/singer-songwriter category.
Made up of three of the best-known and talented English folk musicians in Paul Sartin, Benji Kirkpatrick and Saul Rose, Faustus have established their name in the English folk scene.
Last year they were artists in residence at Halsway Manor, the National Centre for Folk Arts in Somerset, where they had access to the manor’s extensive library to record Death and Other Animals.
Salves includes a mix of live and recorded tracks that represent the very best of folk and appeals to all die hard lovers of the genre.
The event starts at 8pm and tickets cost £15.
