THE FESTIVE countdown is on at Pershore Number 8 Community Arts Centre with plenty of fun for all the family.

A host of films and screenings are on show before the big day itself including further showings of SPECTRE and other delights.

Among the highlights is a screening of Get Santa on December 22, a heart-warming and funny family adventure about a father and son discovering the magic of Christmas.

It’s just days before Christmas, reindeer are running through the streets of London and nine year-old Tom finds Santa (Jim Broadbent) in his garden shed!

Santa has crash-landed and needs Tom and his father’s (Rafe Spall) help to get back to Lapland.

But what happens when Santa is arrested? Will they be able to break him out of prison in time for Christmas?

And why not join the volunteers at the Number 8 to dance your way into 2016 with Fireballs UK and see the Big Ben countdown and London fireworks live on screen via satellite.

Fireballs UK will be playing authentic rock ‘n’ roll from the late 50s and early 60s including hits from Buddy Holly, Bill Haley, Eddie Cochran and Elvis Presley along with numbers from British artists such as Cliff Richard, Billy Fury and The Shadows.

A delicious sandwich supper and fizz for the New Year toast included in the ticket price of £25 for what promises to be a fun packed way to end 2015 from 9pm on New Year’s Eve.
