FESTIVE favourite Mary Poppins will be on the big screen at the Regal this Christmas as the Port Street venue gears up for showing ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ from the first day of national release.
The Disney sequel will hit the silver screen from Friday, December 21 and throughout the festive period including a 4pm showing on Christmas Day and a dress-up event on New Year’s Eve.
Mary Poppins Returns stars Emily Blunt in the title role and is set 25 years after the events of the first film when the Bank’s children Michael and Jane receive a visit from Mary Poppins following a family tragedy.
A 92-year-old Dick Van Dyke also returns to play Mr Dawes Junior, the son of his original character Mr Dawes Senior and the coming attraction has already generated interest according to Regal chiefs.
