A CRITICALLY acclaimed folk singer, composer and musician is heading to Pershore as part of his groundbreaking ‘Afterglow’ tour.
Former lead singer of celebrated folk band Bellowhead Jon Boden will perform Afterglow, his third solo album and first since he left the band last May, at Pershore Number 8 Community Arts Centre on Monday, November 13.
This is a rare chance for folk fanatics to enjoy a close-up and intimate performance where Jon will showcase his infectious new material in a stripped-down, high-octane, very personal show.
Using fiddle, guitar, concertina and his trade mark stomp box, Boden will also perform material from throughout his 15-year career, including hits from Bellowhead and selections from his ‘A Folk Song A Day’ project.
As a recipient of 11 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards – more than any other musician – this is truly a concert not to be missed.
The event runs from 7.30pm to 9.20pm and costs £20 per person, which includes an 85p booking fee if bought online.
Call the centre’s Box Office on 01386 555488 or visit www.number8.org for more information.
