Evesham United FC: Meet the Starters for the 2022-23 Season

Evesham Editorial 12th Jan, 2023   0

Evesham United FC is a budding team based in Worcestershire. Although they’ve not had an incredible history since they were created in 1945, shortly after the Second World War, the team had a promising 2008-09 season when they got to the first round of the FA Cup. They currently play in the Southern League Division One.

The Robins will hope to make it into the top leagues at one point in their history. However, for the 2022-23 season, they remain in the Southern League Division One. And it is in this league that you can add them to your sports betting list. Simply find a sportsbook that offers Evesham United on their betting list.

With the season already on, let’s look at the starters alongside coach Mike Bryne who would be looking to help the team finish higher in the league without wasting time.

Edward Brearey

Goalkeeper Edward Brearey is a scholar with Oxford United and is on loan to Evesham United FC. He would be spending more time on the pitch for Evesham than Josh Nichol, who is currently at Hartpury University. Brearey has also had loan spells at Thame United, St.Ives Town, and North Leigh.

Adam Mace

This season, Adam Mace will captain the team. He joined from Bishops Cleeve, where he was captain of the team. Before that, Adam Mace spent time at Cheltenham Town, Slimbridge FC, and Shortwood United. So, we can see that Mace is experienced enough to lead Evesham United.

Daniel Djurovic

Another defender we expect to start for most of the matches this season is Daniel Djurovic. He came into this team from Redditch United after getting 19 appearances for the team. He was also part of the Birmingham City FC’s academy. Daniel Djurovic will remain a top pick for Bryne.

Charlie Johnson

After getting a move from Evesham United, Charlie Johnson returned to the squad after Yate Town released him. Johnson was part of the successful Hartpury University football team, and we expect him to help Evesham United FC as one of the stars.

Charlie Wise

Charlie Wise has a good-looking profile, as he had stints with Brackley Town, Bromsgrove Sporting, Corby Town, and Banbury United. Wise was among the players that helped Banbury gain promotion in 2015 before he moved to Kidlington, Wantage Town, and finally made his way to Evesham United. Now, he is a starter with United for the 2022-23 season.

Jordan Lymn

One of the first names in the midfield this season is Jordan Lymn. He is an exciting player with a career as high up as League One with Cheltenham Town. As a result, we believe he brings a kind of experience to the team that only a few players have in the squad. In that case, we expect him to start most of the games as Evesham United FC tries to improve their standings.

Kyle Belmonte

Another midfielder that is highly rated in Evesham is Kyle Belmonte. He can play a few positions on the team. Therefore, we expect him to be part of the starters for the 2022-23 season. He will have more to give the team if they count on him as a pair with Jordan Lymn.

Chris Knowles

Chris Knowles is one of the experienced players in the Evesham United squad. He started his career with Bashley before entering the senior team in 2005. Since then, he has been one of the lower leagues’ experienced players. He would bring his experience into the squad as they count on him to deliver.

Aaron Evans-Harriott

Alongside some of the experienced players, we will see Aaron Evans-Harriot, a budding youngster that made his debut in 2019 as a 16-year-old. He has some experience playing in the Championship, making him a good fit for the team this season as they hope to make it out of the Southern League.

Ben Whitehead

In the front, we expect to see Ben Whitehead as one of the first names on the pitch. He has 86 goals in 87 matches for Cirencester Town. Therefore, we can’t deny that he is prolific in front of goal.

Owen James

Another name we would expect to be a starter in the squad is Owen James. Although he doesn’t have a massive profile like Whitehead, he is a good pairing with the striker. James brings something different to the table. Therefore, we believe a pairing of the two will work well.
