Summer has just about arrived, and millions of Brits will be jetting off around the world on their holidays. For a significant number of these people, this means putting up with the stress and hassle of a delayed travel experience.
If you want to take at least a little bit of the stress out of your holiday, then investing in the right equipment is often worthwhile. Even if you simply want to make the time pass faster during your travels, a little bit of additional tech never hurt. But what does that equipment look like?
Portable safe
Many hotels, villas and chalets will come with a secure place to keep your valuables after you arrive. But this can’t be guaranteed. A portable safe will provide enough room for your phone, cash, and travel documents. You can secure it to your person, which will even allow you to safely fall asleep on an unfamiliar train or walk around a busy city centre without worrying about losing anything.
Portable charger
If you don’t have any battery left on your phone, then you might be unable to play your favourite Megaways slots – or take a picture, get directions, or check your email inbox. If you have the right charger and battery pack, then you’ll be able to get a little bit of extra juice when it’s required. Bear in mind also that there are limits to how large a battery pack you can take into the passenger compartment of a commercial airliner. Look for a product that offers between 100 and 160 Watt-hours.
On-ear noise-cancelling headphones
Keeping yourself entertained on the road is often a matter of finding the right distraction in the world of audio. Noise-cancelling headphones are a great way to immerse yourself and deal with the noise of crying infants and droning engines. The batteries on these devices are often long-lasting, making them a great match for long trips. Make sure that you don’t wear them while you’re walking around an unfamiliar city centre, however – you want to be able to hear when a vehicle is approaching.
Luggage tracker
Are you worried about where in the world your luggage might have gotten to? The right tracking device can provide valuable peace of mind. Just slip it into your bag, and you’ll be able to check where your luggage is, from anywhere in the world. Just make sure you resist the temptation to check every few minutes.
